Ashley Vargas

Bio

Ashley Vargas comes from Angier, NC, with roots tracing back to Puebla and Mexico City through her parents. Currently in her third year at NC State University, she’s pursuing a major in Fashion and Textiles. Beyond her academic endeavors, Ashley is an active member of  Phi Psi: A professional textile Fraternity, and contributes to the Greater Good Textile group.

During her downtime, Ashley finds joy in playing soccer and cherishing moments with her friends and family. What sets her apart is her strong sense of community involvement, particularly in supporting the Latinx community. This passion led her to become a part of Juntos, where she’s making a difference. In a noteworthy initiative, Ashley and her friends are pioneering the establishment of the first Latinx Textile Society in their college, aiming to foster a sense of belonging and support within the Latinx student community.

Ashley Vargas proviene de Angier, NC, con raíces que se remontan a Puebla y la Ciudad de México a través de sus padres. Actualmente en su tercer año en la Universidad Estatal de Carolina del Norte, se especializa en Moda y Textiles. Más allá de sus esfuerzos académicos, Ashley es miembro activo de Phi Psi, una fraternidad profesional de textiles, y contribuye al grupo Greater Good Textile. En su tiempo libre, Ashley encuentra alegría jugando al fútbol y disfrutando de momentos con sus amigos y familiares. Lo que la distingue es su fuerte sentido de participación comunitaria, especialmente en apoyo a la comunidad Latinx. Esta pasión la llevó a formar parte de Juntos, donde está marcando la diferencia. En una iniciativa destacada, Ashley y sus amigos están inaugurando la primera Sociedad Textil Latinx en su universidad, con el objetivo de fomentar un sentido de pertenencia y apoyo dentro de la comunidad estudiantil Latinx.
