Bio

Born in Uruguay, Lucía Planchón moved to the United States with her family when she was eight years old. After ten years in New Jersey, the family moved to North Carolina for access to affordable higher education. Lucía began her degree in Spanish Education at NC State University and later completed a Master’s in Hispanic Linguistics while working part-time at a child care center and caring for children on weekends. This mix of specialties created the perfect opportunity for working in Parenting Education after graduation. Lucía started as the Assistant Director of the Juntos Program in October of 2022 and is now the Associate Director, managing the North Carolina Juntos Program cohort.
