NC State launched the Juntos Program in 2007, with a plan to provide high school students and their families with the knowledge, skills, and resources to ensure high school graduation and increase college access and attendance rates.
The Juntos Program is an intensive long-term program made up of four components:

This week, students discovered that learning can be fun while experiencing a glimpse of college life. From exploring solar panels and coding to diving into the world of genes, it was a week full of discovery, excitement, and growth. Team captains and students built strong connections, forming lasting bonds and valuable mentorships that will continue beyond the academy. None of this would have been possible without the incredible efforts of Lucia, Bianca, Lauren, our amazing coordinators, and Diana. Thank you for making this experience a reality!...
The students started the day learning about nutrition and enjoying some great food. Then we connected with professionals from a variety of fields and gained valuable insights.
After making progress on our projects, we ended the day at the talent show filled with laughter, a few tears, and one of the most memorable moments of the academy.
Los estudiantes comenzaron el día aprendiendo sobre nutrición y disfrutando de una deliciosa comida. Después, conectamos con profesionales de diversos campos y obtuvimos valiosas perspectivas. Tras avanzar en nuestros proyectos, terminamos el día en el concurso de talentos, lleno de risas y algunas lágrimas, y en uno de los momentos más memorables de la academia.
The students went on trips with the students and their projects some went to the NC Museum of Natural Sciences, others to Wake Tech Community College , BASF Agricultural Solutions, NCSU Plant Sciences Initiative, and Research Institute International . They got to see firsthand how what they’re learning actually shows up in the real world. Then we stopped by some colleges to explore options. Long day, but full of learning and good vibes

Students had so much fun diving into their projects and really getting hands on they saw first hand why this stuff matters! They also did some awesome skills workshops where they learned how to dress for success, give a great speech, write strong essays, and what it’s really like being a college student. We’re setting our students up for success JUNTOS And of course, we made time for fun, toured NC State, did arts & crafts, and hit up Howling Cow for some amazing ice cream
Los estudiantes se divirtieron muchísimo sumergiéndose en sus proyectos y poniendo manos a la obra. ¡Vieron de primera mano por qué esto es importante! También participaron en talleres de habilidades increíbles donde aprendieron a vestirse para el éxito, a dar un buen discurso, a escribir ensayos sólidos y a comprender cómo es realmente ser un estudiante universitario. ¡JUNTOS estamos preparando a nuestros estudiantes para el éxito! When the Juntos Enhancement Fund receives 50 new donors, The Anonymous Trust will donate $10,000 to the program. Juntos with this generous donation we will be able to support students across the state with Summer programming, family enhancement, career pathways and success couching. Juntos means "together," and together we can create brighter futures for students!
